Sam Allardyce has promised the Blue and White Army that his side will produce a much improved display in Saturday`s crunch clash at Stoke City than the one dimensional surrender that was the Liverpool game.
Stoke are a very good side when playing at the Britannia Stadium and have only lost 3 games there all season. However, Rovers have already shown once this season that they can beat Stoke.
The direct, physical approach is something that both Stoke and Rovers are known for and it will be up to the two teams to see who can produce the goods on the day.
Big Sam is confident that Rovers, who have sold all of their 3,200 ticket allocation for the game, will give a better account of themselves.
Big Sam, speaking to the lancashire evening telegraph, said - "Stoke will be a completely different style, They are in good form, it is already a sell-out. We have our fans there and know how big a game it is.
"We beat them 3-0 in my first game in charge and we will certainly implement a game plan and I will make sure do better with it this time.
"Otherwise we could find ourselves in a really tough game."
I get the feeling that Sam has targeted the games that we need to win and didn't risk players who were touch and go such as El Hadji Diouf and Gamst Pedersen against Liverpool because of games like this - the crunch games.
Win against Stoke and the game at Anfield will be forgotten in a hurry.
