Villanueva Deal Could Happen
Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce won't rule out the end of season signing of Audax Italiano midfielder Carlos Villanueva.
Carlos has been subject to a lot of speculation - particularly since most Rovers fans feel he should be playing a lot more than he actually does.
Sam had the following to say however -
Sam, speaking to Rovers.co.uk, said - "There is a great balance between ability and physical capability in The Premier League. There is no player with more ability in this club than Carlos.
"Unfortunately, in his short time here it has been about his physical capabilities and him coping with The Premier League, which means we can`t see that ability as much as we would like to.
"I saw it in the reserves and I saw it in a couple of flashes particularly in the FA Cup against Sunderland but since then, when he has played he hasn`t produced.
"So it ends up do we think we can carry a player of that particular quality? At the moment I don`t think we can, but certainly from the bench he can have an impact."
Well that makes things interesting doesnt it?
