Roque Ready To Get Rocking

He's finally decided to start being professional. Roque Santa Cruz, who is more than likely leaving Ewood Park in the summer, can't wait to get back on the pitch and help Rovers with their relegation fight.

Roque, speaking to Sky Sports said -"Of course it has been frustrating. It has always been hard not to play, especially when we need everyone ready for the situation we are in.

"I am desperate to play these games and to do my best to help Blackburn stay up and that is why I am focused on getting my rehabilitation right so that I can get fit and play at top form."

FINALLY. Nice to hear you say you want to the help the club you LOVED to play for only a few short months ago.

Translation: I need to play games before the end of the season to justify the release clause in my contract so I can get the hell out of here. But hopefully that means when he plays he puts in the performances we know he is capable of.

as long as he puts the ball in the net, that wins games and keeps us in the Premier League, then f's off for a small fortune so we can build a bigger and better team around the money that he brings, then who are we to argue...although it will be interesting to see IF Hughes hasnt a job in the summer will Roque be a big enough name for City?? I personelly think its Hughes that wants him, same as he did Bellamy!! Who would have thought that from Kaka to Craig - ahh u gotta love the worlds richest club lol

Very cynical Mikey but thats what modern football does to you. I just cant believe a player that wants out and has bad injuries is dying to get back just for the soul purpose of helping his team, the same team he will leave next season at the drop of a hat. There is more to it. Maybe to seem professional or as i said get game time so he doesnt slip off the radar.

Id like to have your romanticism but I dont know maybe I just look for the bad in people. It would be nice to think though that he does feel that he owes Rovers something (and boy does he, I feel he is very ungrateful for what we have done for him) before leaving us and sees scoring a load of goals and keeping us up as it. At the end of the day if he scores the goals and he stays up that will be good enough and we take a big pile of cash for him.

RSC has really gone down in my estimations as I never imagined him to be the type of person he has become! I might be wrong, but personally I feel that he can't wait to get back onto the pitch again, not for Rovers but for HIM to ensure he keeps himself in the shop window and gets the move he's wanted for months!!!
