Samba Thinks Rovers Can Hit Top 10

Chris Samba is of the belief that Rovers can hit the top 10 this season if they play their cards right.

Rovers destiny is for the first time in ages, back in their own hands and that is down to the results churned out by the team over the last few months.

Samba, speaking to rovers.co.uk - "Maybe we can be surprised in a good way by where we can finish. Now we have our destiny in our hands so it is up to us.

"You can still finish 10th or 9th, that is the hope for us. It has been a difficult year for us but the end of the day you could be 9th having been in the relegation battle. It is a strange season.

"We will look in front of us and the focus is that 11th place is just three points above us. We can almost touch it so now we look to get there in the next game. We want our next journey to be that top 10."

I personally feel we should abandon this sort of thinking and do the one thing that matters - staying in the league.

Anything else, whilst great, is simply a bonus.

Too true - I saw Spud's own Jonny Woodgate telling the press he thought Spuds would qualify for Europe this year. Reality check.

I know what you mean Mikey, but I think it's good to make a positive target rather than looking over your shoulder. However, I would prefer he'd said this when we are more than one point above the drop!

I think your right FN1 in that it is the timing of the comment but I cant fault him for positivity... how many times have I got pulled up for being overly positive?!
