Samba : Fulham Game In Hand Clash Is VITAL

Chris Samba has upped the ante before the trip to Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

The game in hand could have a large bearing on the destiny of Rovers and which league they are plying their trade next season and don't we know it.

The clash has been re-arranged after a frozen pitch in January put pay to the original match.

Chris Samba, speaking to the News Of The World, 'It is pretty tight at the moment, since last week the other results have not been in our favour,'

'But we have to concentrate on ourselves. We have a game in hand and we have to get something out of this game. It will be a very important game for us.

'We go there with a real hunger. We have to do the right things and we will get out of the bottom three.

'I think it will be a hard finish. We will do everything we can to get out.I think four or five wins will be enough for us, and I am confident we can get them.'

Five wins should be enough but we need to get them on the board as early as we can. We have a tough run in but then so do a lot of teams around us.

Samba has his heart in the right place. He, more than any other Rover, owes us a debt for the risk we took on him (albeit for a very small fee) and it would be fair to say that he hasn't disappointed with his love of the club. Good to see some comments in the press that aren't from one of our strikers talking about a move away :D

This Fulham game is a 'biggy' - it's your game in hand. Win and it gives you some breathing space - lose and you are in one hell of a dog fight.

Mikey, it was Santa this summer, Benni the summers before... Bellamy before that. Our strikers have a tendency of turning mercenary when they see an open window. Thaiblue, I couldn't agree more. Fulham are showing signs of cracking at home too. An absolutely scandalous (and rubbish for us) defeat by Hull who they dominated all game, then that drubbing by United last weekend. If we get a couple of breaks, and the chances fall to Mr. Cruz, then we could sneak this one. That said, we must create more than we did against Everton, or this'll be another easy night for the keepers.
