Ince Turns Down Brighton

Former Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince has turned down the chance of a return to management after declining Brighton and Hove Albion's advances.

Ince had become the hot favourite for the vacant job with the struggling relegation threatened League One side but it is understood that the 41-year-old is holding out for a bigger club, or a job in the Championship (if not higher) having got a taste during his brief (yet ultimately unsuccessful) spell at Ewood Park.

Meanwhile Josh O'Keefe is to spend the remainder of the season on trial with Derby County as he looks to impress their manager Nigel Clough.

O'Keefe will be out of contract in the summer and this contract isn't likely to be renewed by Sam Allardyce so the 20-year-old (who has played in a private friendly for Derby) is trying to get himself a new club as soon as he can. Good luck to the midfielder, who has come through the youth ranks at Ewood but hasn't been able to force himself into the first-team reckoning.

I wouldn't start being that picky and chosey over jobs Incey, there are only so many you will be offered before they are stopped being offered, but best of luck to you dude, the same goes for Josh at Derby.

I fear for Ince at the moment. I think he needs to keep the ego in check, prov himself again and then have another go at the big time. Josh I have heard is a very popular lad so the best of luck to him at Derby.
