Gally Prepares For His Next Move

Blackburn Rovers midfielder/striker Paul Gallagher isn't expect to return to Ewood Park this summer and Gallagher has said that he now accepts that his Rovers career is over.

Gallagher (who scored a superb goal for his loan club Plymouth Argyle on Saturday) is in the latest of a string of loan moves and hasn't featured in the Premier League for Rovers in nearly two-years. The 24-year-old is due back at the club when the season ends, however, Gally was hoping to have been given a chance under Sam Allardyce but now concedes this isn't going to happen and he will be moving on in the summer.

Gallagher told The Mirror: "I've not really spoken directly to Sam about my future. I went back to Blackburn for some treatment when I had a bad knee and shook his hand. The next thing I knew I was watching Sky and it said they were willing to listen to offers for me.

"When Sam came in I thought it might be a chance to get back. Blackburn were not doing well, and are still struggling, but it never happened. That was a kick in the teeth, but now I've got my head round it.
"

Personally (as I have said before) Gally leaving in the summer doesn't surprise me, the only thing that has surprised me is the fact that the Scottish International hasn't moved on sooner. I really feel sorry for Gally as I believe that he has never really been given the chance that he probably deserved at Ewood, no matter how badly those ahead of him played. I hope that he gets the right move and can move his career forwards again.

Good luck Gally, you deserved more of a chance than you got here.

Hugley underrated I think. He could be a contender for the wings if given the chance.

will be a big loss, never got a real chance and has shown some real quality when he has played, was especially very good when he partnered john stead a few seasons back, i hope he gets a nice move and finds himself back in the premiership sooner rather than later

He got a winner against Newcastle i recall didnt he? I dont think he was ever going to be cut out to be a premier league starter on a regular basis, but i wish the lad all the best

He was never going to make it into the team but credit him for stiking around and going out on loan as often as he did, to try and prove that he deserved a chance and although he did quite well out on loan, did he ever really do enough?? Prob not! as a few managers have now over looked him - another prob was he was versitile, never really nailing a poistion up front and too often used on the rite wing..
