Gunnar Makes City Switch

Manchester City have completed the signing of Blackburn's Faroe Islands international goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen on a free transfer after he failed to make a single first team appearance at Rovers.

The young shot stopper joined Rovers when Hughes was in charge of the club and has moved again after failing to make an impact under Sam Allardyce.

Nielsen spent part of 2008 on loan at Motherwell, but now completes his move to Middle Eastlands.

Well he had fallen off the radar a bit. Maybe he will get back to prominence under Hughes?

Surprised that if he isn't good enough for us he is good enough for Man City. Could this one come back to bite us?!?! Why give him a FREE though?

Maybe his contract ran out now. Sometimes they are rolling contracts. Either way -he's a goner. Maybe Hughes thinks he can get the best out of him.

im not sure I understand Hughes at times - he bought a lot of keepers while at Rovers and cant understand why he would want Neilson, though if he was a lite weight then sure it gets him off our wage bill.... Bunn is another, is he good of not?? and Brown - I dont rate him at all, im surprised that Hughes didnt buy his fellow Welsh man lol

Brown has always been a solid keeper in my eyes. How come you dont rate him clint?

He'll be fourth choice at City though. Not sure why he has made the move.

I just aint seen enough of him, every time I see him he looks fat - though that didnt do anything bad for Pressman's career!!! I think there are better out there, I just dont see him pushing for the No:1 Jersey - like Harper at Newcastle he seems happy picking up his wages - i could be and probably am totally wrong but i dont care, its wot i think lol
