'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Allardyce Would Stay And Fight

If Blackburn got relegated (Ed - which we won't) then Big Sam Allardyce would stay and fight and help the club if the club would let him.

Rovers are locked in a relegation battle but the confidence and performance levels of the players has improved under Big Sam and they are now no longer adrift at the bottom.

However, Allardyce feels he would be judged like every other manager if the worst did happen.

Allardyce, speaking to the LET said - 'There is bound to be doubt about my future unless I get them out of trouble and keep them in the Premier League,'

'That is my remit and if I don't do that I expect my position would come under scrutiny.

'I would not expect anything else. A contract makes no difference whatsoever anyway.

'If you are not wholeheartedly behind the football club then the club is not going to stand in your way.

'You do what you think is right for you and the football club.

'I certainly don't see myself walking away, if the worst happens.

'We don't talk about that worst-case scenario, but hypothetically if it happened I don't see it from my side of things.'

we would not want him to walk away either, i really think next season sam can build a dynasty at rovers and have us at the right end of the season, he has always been good in the transfer market at getting the best out of players and getting players to rediscover their form and im sure that will continue for many seasons at rovers

If his January transfers are anything to go by then we are in safe hands! Sam is one to hold onto...

I like SA more and more. In or out of the Prem, he is the guy for us. Whatever happens this season, he will take us forward. I like the way he has adapted his strategy to include our Academy. He has made our defenders more solid and confident and we are a better team, by far. The loss of Brad Friedel has been significant.

if we were to dismiss sam, then we really know our club is in a mess. He was the right man for the job back then and still is now and will be if we go down no question about it. Sams the man!

i believe we can stay. under Sam, we can become like the Rovers of old

I am happy with Sam at the moment - but by the end of the season he would have managed 21 league games, Ince had 17. If we sacked Ince for poor results then if we get relegated Sam has to share the blame - doesn't he? Don't get me wrong, I'm not big on sacking managers I prefer stability, and Sam has got us 10 vital points so far. However based on our squad and the teams we have played I was hoping for between 15 to 18 points.

We're NOT going down, but IF we did I wouldn't expect anything less than Big Sam staying, why should he go? We wouldn't want to go would we, so why should he even be allowed to go!!!
Walker
it is not if but when (ie end of the season) and he'll be off like a rat up a drainpipe.
TeddyLyon
Teddy worry about your team (Spuds right?!?!) and we'll worry about ours. We'll not go down, sadly neither will you. But you'll never be the team that so many of your lot think you ARE or SHOULD BE!!!
Walker
Teddy - thats just complete tosh. If you are a Spurs fan then that comment you made was completely laughable. He spent 8 years at Bolton before walking away and he spent 4 months at Newcastle before he was PUSHED.
