Allardyce: Rovers Were Robbed!!!

Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce believes that Rovers were robbed on Saturday following the narrow 2-1 defeat against Manchester United.

Roque Santa Cruz cancelled out Wayne Rooney's opener for Man United, who then saw a goal from Jonny Evans ruled out for what was viewed as a foul (it wasn't a corner anyway, so as usually happened the referee was looking to level things up). Ryan Nelsen was ONCE again denied by the woodwork (will Nelsen ever score for Rovers?!?!) before Cristiano Ronaldo (who shouldn't have been on the pitch following a kick out at David Dunn that went unpunished before picking up would've been a second booking for a dive minutes later!!!) put Manure ahead before Morten Gamst Pedersen was denied a clear penalty when he was pulled back by Rafael Da Silva (who would've also been sent off as well!) All of which left Allardyce disappointed, and rightfully so, in thinking we were hard done by.

Allardyce said after the match: "As far as Pedersen goes, Sir Alex has his opinion, I have a different one.

"Unfortunately, most clubs might not get a decision like that here. It wasn't a blatant one but it was a penalty. Pedersen got pulled and tugged.
"

WHY would Pedersen have gone down when he was clean through, it was a clear penalty (even if the winger did gown down a bit theatrically) but you don't get them at Old Trafford do you!!! If MGP had dived WHY wasn't he booked liked Ronaldo???

Big Sam knows how vital the three points (or even a point) would've been in the fight against relegation, and rues missed opportunities.

He added: "We had a couple of opportunities to get ourselves in front, one just before half-time and another after it when Ryan Nelsen hit a post.

"It would have been a real bonus for us today.
"

We were beaten but we gave a superb account of ourselves at Old Trafford (and SHOULD now be able to build on this) against a side that will almost certainly end the season again as Premier League Champions, and MORE than gave them a match that they'll know they were in.

Robbery at its finest. Seriously, Biggins got locked up for that when he ransacked trains!

Play like that again against Hull and we'll murder them, play like we did against Coventry (yeah I know different players) and we'll get murdered!!!

The way Rovers played aganst Utd was fantastic, not many clubs have went to Old Trafford in recent yrs and given Utd as good a game - My mate who is a Utd fan and me watched the match and thats wot he said - I DONT think it was a penalty, though I have seen them given, but Ronaldo shouldn't have been on the pitch to score the free-kick - he's been a luck boy this season, I do beleive that if he played for Rovers he would have walked a few times this season
