United Aren't Untouchable

United Aren't Untouchable

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce does not agree with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's 'untouchable' assessment of Manchester United and feels there are ways to beat the reigning champions.

He does however acknowledge that this could be the finest squad assembled by the arrogant, obnoxious but ultimately brilliant Scot.

Big Sam, speaking to Sky Sports said - 'They are formidable but not untouchable and somewhere along the line they will drop a point or concede a goal and lose a match,'

'But this is the best form of the season. Many games throughout the early part of the season were a struggle for them but they came through those and that is why they are the best team.

'When they don't deserve to win they still win and when they are in the mood they can take you apart.'

'Another double or better will say to everyone in the world that this is the best team Sir Alex has had,'

'Their consistency and capabilities to win trophies at the highest level will prove that is the case.'

That is a glowing reference but I am a firm believer that teams fortunes change on the back of heroic performances and the boys in blue and white have a chance to give us one tomorrow.

It will be very difficult but it's certainly not impossible.

Got nothing to lose tomorrow. I dont think they will put out their first 11 with inter on wednesday night. If we got a score draw here tomorrow then it would be as good as a win confidence wise. There is no way they will go to the end of the season without conceding a goal and it would be some boost for the striker that gets that goal. We just have to keep it tight early and not let our heads drop if we go 1 behind. We have been a bogey team for them in recent seasons

I agree with Big Sam and Big Mikey. A heroic performance and you never know. There isn't anything to lose here. Up the Rovers!

We showed that Manure aren't untouchable, we've pushed them as hard as anyone this season (when they haven't been beaten of course!!!)

Just shows you what can be done when your manager doesn't bow down to them before kick off, like Hodgson last week. You gave them a great game and had no help from the referee whatsoever. You don't get penalties at Old trafford unless you are wearing red.
