Reid Staying Positive

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid is taking a positive outlook as he continues his rehabilitation from his latest long-term injury.

Reid suffered another knee problem in September, understood to have only been a four-week layoff initially, only for it to then sideline him for the whole of another season after surgery in America. The 27-year-old is progressing well and remaining positive as he looks to return for pre-season training ahead of the 2009-2010 season.

Reid told Setanta Sports News: "I had the operation three months ago now and the progress is going well.

"I'm just starting to step it up month-by-month now, rather than week-by-week. It's getting stronger and it's going as planned.

"Hopefully I'll go back to America to see the surgeon in the next month or so and then step it up a bit more and focus on pre-season for next season.
"

Reid has been plagued by knee and back injuries over the past two to three-years and personally if he is able to make a full recovery I have to admit I will be surprised. I want him to come back OKAY, but I'm not sure that he will?
