The Transfer Wrap

Blackburn Rovers featured heavily in the transfer window which shut down only hours ago. However, with all the rumours and supposed signings and players on trial, minimal change has occured to the Rovers Squad.

We Start with the Ins....

Nick Blackman 19 Year old Macclesfield Town Striker, signed for an undisclosed fee with a contract until 2011

Gael Givet 27 Year old Marseille Left/Central back, 6 month loan with option for a permanent move

El-Hadji Diouf 28 year old Sunderland Attacking Midfielder/Forward, fee excessive of 2 million

Outs.....

Matt Derbyshire 6 month loan move to Olympiakos, option to make permanent

Alan Judge 6 month loan transfer to Plymouth, no permanent transfer option

Eddie Nolan Transfer to Plymouth on 6 figure deal

Sergio Peter Transfer to Sparta Prague, undisclosed fee

With many fans expecting Rovers to invest in this transfer market, it came to many's surprise that our only major piece of business was the signing of El-Hadji Diouf, whilst hated by many for his antics and 'That Penalty', will sure bolster the playing stocks of Rovers.

Santa Cruz stayed, Gamst Stayed, Warnock Stayed, Nelsen Stayed and Samba stayed, all our big names went no where, so it should be business as usual for Rovers

Now lets close up the second half of the season with a run of victories

Thats the Wrap

From the Man in Mourning

Emerton shall be missed!!!!

The injury to Bret Emerton is a real blow. He was playing probably the best football of his career to date. Without him, the right side is still a worry. Hel can play wide(ish) right and Andre can continue at right back, I suppose. Another injury could really scupper us though. I did wonder if we might bring Duffer back. He can play on the right if necessary. We really need Morten to do his stuff and nail down who is the most effective partner for Roque. Sam IS the man, though. Every credit to him and John Williams.

I'm just so glad that Manchester City decided not to get gazumped over £20M for Roque santa Cruz. He's a good striker when fit -- but not that good. And he is seldom fit!

You missed out the Jamie Clarke transfer.....

I'd liked to have seen more playing coming in. like the ones we were linked with when ince was about, jaoquin (if thats how u spell it) he is a very very good right winger! looks like diouf will take emertons place till hes back,

Joaquin would of cost a bomb though and that was more press speculation than anything. Rostyn Griffiths has left as well to join Adelaide - Sas keep your eyes peeled.

Lol they were late transfers lads, the Rostyn Griffiths and Clarke deals werent completed until after the window shut, the loan window shuts in a week or 2 i believe so we still might be able to snare something if required, as for Griffiths, pfft Adelaide??? lol, Sydney FC for me baby!!!!!, next season when Adelaide come play Sydney, il make it my objective to snare 5 minutes with Griffiths and hopefully get an interview.....Il see what my contacts can do

good move for derbyshire, getting exposed to the greek top flight should help his development

Make that happen Sas!!! I'll try and get Franny Jeffers!!! lol

Nolan didn't go to Plymouth dude, it was Preston wasn't it. You're slipping lol! Only jonking dude, good wrap there.
Walker
lol transfers are my specialty lads, i might slacken of and get things wrong else where, but ya wont get me on transfers lol, Franny? Surely you can do better Mikey hehehe, I might be able to snare an interview with Aussie Coach Pim Ver Beek, but dont think that will mean much to anybody here lol
