Benfica Want To Know What Rovers Think Of Zoro

Benfica want a decision from Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce over defender Marco Zoro.

The Ivory Coast star has had his trial extended by a week to a fortnight after enduring a difficult first week's training and has apparently improved no end this week.

Zoro, who plays right-back and centre-half, has improved in his training period and Allardyce may be tempted to get him in.

Lets hope we rate him, and that he is worth rating!

Inside word is that he is going home and won't be signed up. Take that for what you want. We are looking at Calve but should that fall through, then we might go back and look again at Zorro

Just been reported by the northern reporter for sky sports that Rovers are the busiest regards the transfer market at the moment. Big Sam is supposed to have several players on trial at the club this week and we should have some news over the next few days. On an other point did Andy Sugden not say when he went from Liverpool to West Ham that he was tired of always moving and that he intended to be at the Hammers for several years. Isn't great to see loyalty alive and well in football today. Also I cant believe that Garry Cook is coming out and saying that Milan bottled the transfer of Kaka. Just because they have lots of money does not give them the right to bully players into joining their club. No amount of money can buy city the tradition that Milan have built up over the years. Also does anybody know anything about this Babacar Gueye

Great post that Del, Bellamy did say he wanted to steady at a club... not a man with a great memory!!! The fact Sam is getting loads of people in on trial is a shrewd move.

warnock is class but i think if zoro comes in for us warnocks position will be underthreat which is a good thing as we need competition for places added with a touch of quality

Zorro is more of a Right back than left back, as is Calve. Can't see Zorro coming back though as there are other irons in the fire with one RB target being watched this week!

I would have thought it'd be Givet pushing for the left-back spot personally

Givet is the competition for the left back spot and this Calve appears to be the guy that rovers want for competition on the right side of defence. After that it is a right winger for me and then we are done.

Givet isnt a left back! hes a left sided Centre Half that is left footed and can COVER left back. in the same way that Ooijer isnt a RB! Calve isnt that bad a player tbh and has done well this week according to reports. Mikey, there arent any Wingers being looked at at present. It seems Sam wants a quality RB that can support either Emo or Dunn wide right. Another possible reason why we arent looking at right Wing could be that Sam thinks Judge is capabe of playing there. see how this pans out in the next 10 days i guess but thats the word from Brockhall at the moment anyhow
