Rovers Set To Unmask Zoro

Blackburn Rovers are understood to have agreed a deal to bring Marco Zoro to the club on trial.

The Ivory Coast International is contracted to Benfica until 2010 but has fallen out of favour with the Portuguese clubs manager Sanchez Flores and doesn't featured in his future plans, despite only signing in 2007. Premier League rivals West Ham United are also understood to be in the running for Zoro, with him actually revealing on Friday that he would be going to London on trial.

Whenever the Ivorian does come to Ewood Park (if he does?!?!) he is likely to spent a week trying to impress Sam Allardyce.

I've never even heard of him, let alone seen him play!!! Has anyone else? If so what's he like?

no ive never heard of him either, any heard david bentley might be apart of a swap deal to boro' for downing, bet he regrets leavin rovers now. and alot of other gossip like barry ferguson coming back to the premier league for as little as £2m, and Kris Boyd coming the same way for alot less than he's worth £3m. I'd happily accept both of them hear. Boyd is a out and out Goal Scorer no doubt about that and 3mil for than is a bargin and we need to strengthen in the middle to ferguson would be a good asset maybe?

I've heard of him from a friend of mine who spent a year in Lisbon and so follows Benfica. He clearly doesn't rate him, but he's not a very knowledgable fan so don't be too worried. I can't tell you much more though.

Barry Ferguson, oh hell no what a flop he turned out to be....

Ferguson struggled with the pace of the Prem, but he was, apart from that, a quality footballer. Pace is the first essential though. Wasn't Zoro the guy who picked up the ball and left the field because he was sick of racial abuse directed at him? (Sounds our kinda guy!) I wish we could sign another MIKE Ferguson. He played for us 40 years ago and is the reason why I am a Rovers supporter.

Zorro i have seen him play in african nations and is quite pacey and reminds me of yobo!! ferguson was not too bad at rovers when he was fit, broke his leg early in his rovers career but was playing well when we sold him, cant see spurs using bentley as a make weight for downing, despite his hit and miss form downing aint fit to tie his laces

I have seen him play a while back and he put in a good showing so if he is stil like that then he can be a good addition. My knowledge on him apart from that is limited but I can tell you this - what a quality name!!!

marshinrover - I also heard that Bentley rumour - laughed my ass off! Just wish I could have seen the look on his face when he heard about it! (If it is true that is!)

The look on his face would of been priceless!!!
Mikey D
yes lol, i laughing to when i read it, maybe he will look for a move back to rovers because it has a great atmosphea and its where he made his name (if it is true), but i dont think i'd want him back after he left us. I'd like to see Kris Boyd playing in the premier league and hopefully for us hes a quality striker
marshinrover
If Santa stays though do we really need another striker? right wing and right back for me with a CM thrown in for good measure.
Mikey D
Do you think he will be permitted to play in a cape?
