Diouf Confirms Blackburn Interest?!?!

El Hadji Diouf has been heavily linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers since Sam Allardyce took over, and the forward has himself now revealed we are interested in his services.

The 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself at Sunderland since his move to the Stadium of Light last summer and if a move can be arranged the Senegalese International is open to a move to Ewood Park, however, he also claims an interest from Wigan Athletic as well.

Diouf is quoted on Sky Sports as saying: "Sam Allardyce wants me to join him and Wigan's manager (Steve Bruce) has called me as well.

"I am not allowed to make two transfers during the same season but can leave if the clubs agree.

"I signed a four-year contract with Sunderland and don't want to leave on bad terms. I hope they will find a solution
."

Allardyce knows Diouf, and has already spoken of his desire to bring in players he knows so if a deal can be agreed with Sunderland I'm sure it WILL happen.

what are people's take on diouf? can he help us? i don't have a good impression of him.
dominator2800
Don't like him but he is a player everyone hates except if he plays for you because he is very talented!!! I do think he is what really need someone who can make something happen, can dribble at the defence with pace! And we really do need a right winger, Emerton can then cover centre mid and right back!
roverjoy
once signed by liverpool for big money and was influential at burnley, always tends to play well against rovers and im sure will settle at rovers, hate his personality but applaud his ability

A player that you hate unless he plays for you? Robbie Savage II!
Mikey D
i don't like him as a person either but if he comes i will back him to the hilt he could play o at right mid could he with emerton dropping back to right back could sort out our problems
