'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sam Will Only Be Signing Quality Impact Signings

Sam Allardyce isn't messing around. He has made it abundantly clear that Rovers will only be signing players that will improve the current first team and if they are at the right price.

The Big Man, speaking to Sky Sports said -'It's quite simple. If I can find a player that is better than what we've got, and can make an immediate impact, I will try and sign him.

'Where that's from is our main focus in terms of trying to find him, but if there is a player of that sort of quality then I'm sure we'll be competing with other clubs as well.

'The sooner we can do it in January the better, and the sooner we can get our business done then we can settle down and get focused on winning Premier League matches.'

Talks a good game this Sam guy.

Happy New Year.

sasman
Stupid British government. Why cant we do the same hols as America? they have a bank holiday every fortnight it seems!!! lol
Mikey D
Sounds like we have cash to spend, and its gonna spent preety quickly, lets hope and pray we get it right and buy the right players, sam is known for his short term impact players, but hopefully he will be under age of 30
glen9mullan
Who Sam or the players!?! I very much doubt Sam is under 30!!! lol
Mikey D
glad sams not under 30, or we would have other teams sniffing around when he is successful
glen9mullan
Wont we get that anyway?
Mikey D
I dont think outside the big 4 would, if he is successful his next stop will be england, no one else is a better proporstion than rovers
glen9mullan
i like sam cant wait to see what he does and what what he s going to bring us i think the likes of vogel and the axe mokenna hopefully
tubzz
A pretty obvious statement from Big Sam really, but I get his point. we have plenty of very good players here, if he can get the best out of them he has no need to bring in anyone, however, one or two wouldn't go a miss, but only if they're better than what we have.
Walker
There is no poit making a larger squad - we need quality in every position.
Mikey D
agreed mikey need a strong first 11 and back up in each position that will put pressure on the ones wearing the shirts
glen9mullan
aiden mcgeady, ive said it once, il say it agen, i think he would be a good signing for the club, and maybe tel ben haim, dont want diouf! but here goes, its gona be fun! hah
whitey_82003
How much would McGeady cost though? If we could get him for the right price then we should be keen. Tel ben Haim has been fairly poor at man city but maybe Sam could get the best out of him?
Mikey D
has Sam got enough time to turn it around for you lot?
