McCarthy Thinks Roque Should Stay

Benni McCarthy has urged Roque Santa Cruz to sit tight and stay with Blackburn Rovers.

Rumours are a plenty that Santa could be on his way to Man City, Real Madrid or Spurs depending on which paper you want to believe.

But the back in form McCarthy, reckons the £18million-rated hitman should think about what he would be giving up by leaving Rovers.

Boom Boom, speaking to Sky Sports said, "Blackburn is a fantastic place to be. It is a great family club.

"I doubt it`s the same elsewhere.

"So, definitely, the grass is really not that green on the other side. Life is always harder."

And whilst we are on the topic of players leaving - Isn't Benni supposed to be desperate to leave the club? certainly doesn't sound like it... hang your head in shame Daily Mail - you are printing rubbish again.

Benni sounds much more mature now...remember a few months ago he had also said he would like to end his career in Blackburn. Great BMc.

Great stuff from Benni Mac, it would seem any desires he had to move elsewhere are well and truely in the past now!!

Santa Cruz should definitely stay at Blackburn and come up with the goods. After last season, Rovers fans would be justified if they were disappointed in his goals tally and inability to get fit. I'm a City fan. I hope we don't buy him.

By the sounds of the papers this morning a move is already in the offing - although it is the Daily Mail.

Benni your a star, and i have never lost my belief in you, you've had a raw deal last 12 months and your confidence must of took a right battering, some of ur own doing and some of the clubs, but we are all glad your hungry and scoring again and lets hope rovers is your last club and you go on to become one of our all time greats

Benni is redeeming himself, very wise words indeed. I think he knows very well, as he has seen it with others, the grass isn't always greener. Roque is a superb football, but in all truth we're not seeing anything like the player we did last season. If Man City come in with anything above £15 million I think we should take it. A deal with some players coming in from Man City would be nice too. I know Big Sam like Ben Haim and maybe we could ask for young Johnson as well!

I think Ben Haim would need to play a lot higher level than he has managed for City. Benni - You are slowly winning us round - keep it up.
