Paul Ince Sacked

Blackburn have sacked Paul Ince.

This is the statement from rovers.co.uk in full. 'It is with great sadness the board announce that Paul Ince is to leave the club. After a board meeting yesterday it was decided to relieve Paul of his duties.

'The board, having selected Paul back in June, were desperate for him to succeed and wanted to give him as much time as possible in the unforgiving environment of Premier League management, where time is such a precious commodity.'

Chairman John Williams had this to say as well - 'Three wins in 17 games has seen a squad, which finished seventh last season, fall to 19th position. We are currently in real danger of becoming detached from the pack.

'The survival of the club in the Premier League is paramount and our focus now is on finding a replacement who will be able to maintain our top division status.

'Paul will bounce back, he is a fighter and we wish him well.'

It's all over folks.

Now we need to look to the future. Some will agree, others wont. But its happened.

It was in the cards. However, replacements...Is Laudrup still interested!??! Souness is favourite (I hope note!!!); Allardice has said no before he's asked (I presume he wants a club with money...); Owen Coyle has been touted (would the Blackburn faithful welcome a dingle...); Curbishley (I think he loves Landan to venture passed the Watfor Gap...); Tony Parkes in a caretaker role (it work at least 4 times before!??!)

Be interesting to see who you bring in, can't see why Ince was the right choice just 17 games ago and isn't now. They knew they were taking on a virtual novice. Hopefully you don't have to have Sam Allardyce with his long ball football. Good luck chaps.
The Fear
What about Alan Shearer and his side kick Rob Lee? I hear they have both passed the relevant coaching badges now...?
MickyT-Felixstowe
Do you want Mark Hughes back?
Tudor
Sorry to see Ince treated go so soon, but then we did the same to Sanchez and look at us now. Hope you get someone to help you survive.
Edens
Tudor, yes we'd have Hughes back but we need to look forward. I notice Mancini's name has been linked and that could be an interesting appointment. We must be one of the very few Prem clubs never to have had a foreign manager! Good luck to Ince in the future though.

Sad that Ince wasn't the success that we wanted him to be but at the end of the day we had regressed terribly under him and we were going nowhere fast. 6 straight defeats were always going to get him sacked. I hope in a few years he can Bounce back and be a successful manager in the top flight. Hopefully we get an experienced head in now and they can turn it round sharpish.

Too bad for Ince, I would have loved him to succeed with Rovers. Who's coming now?

Mancini would good...

Please!!!!!!!! MANCINI???? LAUDRUP???? What do they know about Blackburn Rovers and the North of England?? There is only one man who can save us and that's Big Sam.....he hasn't said no, he said he wouldn't comment (whilst Ince was manager). It will be interesting to hear his next interview now Ince has gone.....please not Souness........

Sam Allardyce please.
adrianbrfc
lets hope we dont panic in finding a replacement

Lets just put all the names on a table blind fold John Williams and give him a pin, maybe we'll get lucky this time?? it's the same names as always, some have been successful and then failed, some have failed and then been successful, some haven't been successful at all?? The one over riding statistic for most of them is that there unemployed for a reason???
Fellrunner
I would love to see Avram Grant i think he is boring etc... but is still a quality manager with very good links would want to come to us though.
roverjoy
Mancini.......lol
Ossie
but then what did u really expect selling ur better players........
Ossie
Dave Jones, Owen Coyle and Gus Hiddink's name have entered the frame...
Mikey D
Ossie - what is it with people whos names are the same? stop being a twunk.
