'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ince Nearing The Exit Door

John Williams has passed comment on the weekends shambles and the situation in general. He didn't really say anything definite but there is hardly a positive comment in sight.

He's got a big decision to make either today or tomorrow.

John, speaking to Lancashire evening Telegraph, said "I am naturally disappointed after that defeat. After all the signs coming out of Brockhall this week, I was led to believe we would get a top performance.

"Without taking anything away from Wigan I have to say I was very disappointed with what I saw. I feel very sorry for the supporters, not least the 12 Father Christmases, who I thought sung their hearts out and really got behind the side.

"They paid their 20 pounds after reading the same stuff about the togetherness and they came out to show the team their support. They gave the team a great welcome onto the pitch and they must be bitterly disappointed.

"The worry is the league table is beginning to stretch out and now we need two wins just to get back among the pack at the bottom."

Mr.Williams was also alarmed at the lack of fighting spirit when going down early.

"It was not the first time we have gone behind in games but at least before we have shown spirit in trying to come back. For the first time out there there was something really missing and there was never that feeling we would get something out of the game.

However, undeniably, the bright light was the return of David Dunn. Who looked energetic and strong when brought on.

"One bit of good news was to see David Dunn breath fresh ideas into the team and he will play a major role in our recovery I hope and the second bit of good news is there is plenty of games left still, although time is obviously running away."

The clock is ticking my friend...

Doesnt look good for ince. Half the words JW comes out with are classic football talk for "he'll probably be getting sacked soon."

shambles yesterday and quite depressing. 11 games without a win and the manager still has a job, I thought this was a results business.
durks de rover
Souness favorite to get his old job back!!!
Decimus Poole
he doesn't get on with Dunny though does he...

Hope not, i like Ince, but i must admit the signing of Andrews was hardly an inspiring bit of business, likewise with the signing of Robbo, the guy was a legend at Spurs but in the last 2 years with us he has been awefull, obviously Ince paid no attention to that. I genuinly hope both he and Robbo can turn it around, but imho its a big if

Robbo has been a lot better for Rovers than he was during his last two years at Spurs. Its a confidence thing mate.
Mikey D
I can't wait to see Ince get sacked now.
dominator2800
he has to go to before this weekend so the new manager will have a bit of time with the players before the loads of christmas matchs. Though who reallly will want to take this job?

Real headache, in so many ways he should give Ince a chance to get settled in and turn things around, especially with the league so close, but obviously if they take no action, the fans will surely turn instead?
The Fear
Its a tough one for sure... its going to be a struggle either way!!!
Mikey D
I dont see how it is a tough call - he has not won for 11 games...and lost the last 6. That is a terrible record!! I am surprised he has not withdrawn himself...he is not must killing us but also his own chances of ever being a Premier League manager again. Easiest descision ever to sack him!
redstarman
Ring and beg King Kenny to come back for 6 months and if he does not want it permanently then at least we have 6 months to ensure that this time we really do get the right man for the job. Plus Sparky will probably be sacked by then and looking for a job
del
It is a tough call because it is a lot of money to pay him off... I think people are forgetting that.
