'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nelsen Backing For The Boss

Rovers captain Ryan Nelsen has stepped out in support of under-fire Rovers boss Paul Ince saying that everyone at the club is doing what they can to arrest the current slide.

Nelsen, speaking to L.E.T, 'Everyone's training, working hard, heads aren't down; we're not slumping around feeling sorry for ourselves,' Nelsen told reporters.

'We know the situation we're in and we're working hard with the staff, with the gaffer, to get up this league.

'Paul's been great. He's taken a lot of flak when the players should have, we've made the mistakes; all the players have made mistakes we weren't making under Hughes so I feel bad for the manager.'

Ryan also said that reports of dressing room unrest are simply ridiculous and pure fabricated rubbish from the press - which leaves truly in complete shock! (this is in no way sarcastic at all).

Ryan continued, 'I don't know where it comes from,'

'It's been going on from pre-season to now. Whenever you hear there's sources from within, flags go up. It sounds a bit dodgy.

'It's not the case. Everybody seems to be extremely happy. Obviously we're disappointed with where we are but there's nothing like that.'

Seriously, someone call me an ambulance.

I think everyone outside of ewood are gathering ready to take a dig as and when they see fit. we all need to support the players and the boss if we are going to get through this.

It's now time to judge Paul Ince over the next 6 games against teams around us? We need to get behind them over the xmas period and not whinge and complain, we all want success and we can all help by being there and supporting the team like we did on saturday against the luckiest team this country as ever produced, if we have a slice of there luck we'll be fine!!!!

Totally agree with you fellrunner - when the chips are down we all need to work hard for the team. Show our support and get the team going again.

Everyone - get down to Wigan, it aint far and them team needs us more than ever.

Wigan starts a run of matches against teams in and around us, maximum points against Wigan is a must then hopefully the rest will take care of itself.

Does anyone else think that maybe Ryan is coming out and saying this because he thinks it is in the best interests of the club. He is the captain and has a lot of responsibility in the club and maybe thinks that he needs to try to sort out the mess himself and ease the pressure on the players and instill that us against the world mentality in the players

Absolutely spot on del. Thats exactly what he is doing mate. He is the BEST captain there is, shame there is not more like him.
