Morten : Lets Go On A Run

Morten Gamst Pedersen thinks that Rovers can go on a run. Starting this weekend with the game away to Wigan this weekend.

Rovers, as everyone knows, are on a shocker of a run and instead of moaning about it, Morten wants to do something about it.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Morten said, 'We've got Wigan, Stoke, Sunderland, Manchester City, Fulham and Newcastle. There are good opportunities coming up now,'

'It's a local derby so there will be a little extra on that but we'll be up for that game and if we can get a win it will be a massive change for us and that will be the turning point,' he added. 'In the last two games we've been working really hard and just lost at the end and so I hope that can help us now on Saturday.'

I like this positive thinking and we need to get pro-active. Lets all get down to the JJB this weekend and roar the boys on.

The support at home to Liverpool on Saturday by the way was very vocal - more of this please.

And we are back in business guys, the site has been down all weekend but we are back up and running with some positive talk from the Gamst... lets get behind the team.

This Wigan game is absolutely crucial. If we get even a point, I'm sure we'll push on
Money4midfield
not sure whether a point would do it, 3 point is absolutely needed. i'm optimistic about the game given the performance and fight we put in last match. just a little more link up play between the midfield and strikers will do it. time to turn it around!!

I think the main thing we need to improve on from an attacking POV is the crosses from wide areas. Santa feeds off the kind of balls that he scored from on Saturday and we hve not sent in enough of those - more please.
Mikey D
i really think matt needs to be given a long starting run UP FRONT over this crucial period. I don't think he has every started more than a couple of games in a row up front.

A win is a must against wigan, and then against Stoke, Sunderland, Manchester City, Fulham and Newcastle...there's no time to be fooling around, or we'll go down
diegoveron
I have a feeling that Benni might get the nod up front v Wigan although personally I would keep Matty up there.
Mikey D
exactly i think santa cruz needs to be benched to give him a break and a kick up the back side

Mikey when you (and numerous other rovers fans) tak bout Santa Cruz needing balls into him from wide areas I feel like excuses are being made for him. IMO he just hasnt been doing it for whatever reason. He missed a great chance from a great cross on saturday and its happended on a number of occasions this season when you think "he would have buried that last year" but he hasnt so I dont know whats going on with the lad but I too would like to see him dropped, as he might just be tired or he might want out either way he aint performing to the standard we know he is capable of.
durks de rover
And with regard to MGP its players like him who need to step it up a gear, he can make a difference when he can be bothered but 1 good performance a season is not good enough
durks de rover
He missed a lot last year if you remember thugh Durks... lots of VBers were commenting that Santa missed a lot (particularly with his feet) but the large majority of his goals were with his head - he hasnt had as good a service this season. I aint letting him off the hook as he needs to up his game as well but I am merely pointing out why he hasnt scored so much this season.
Mikey D
I understand what you're saying Mikey but 8 of his goals last season were from his head, which was the most in the league BTW. I understand that has to do with his downturn in form but he has also missed far more chances this season than last add to the fact that I think his body language has been off this season and I just think he needs to be dropped to recharge his batteries or give him a kick in the arse. BTW I wasnt having a go at you mikey its just something I've heard a lotof recently from a number of fans that i happen to disagree about
durks de rover
Fair dos durks... I understand fella. Its alright people have a go at me every day!!! you would be no different!!! lol. I think I get what you are saying about his body language. However, I still cant see Ince dropping him.
Mikey D
PLENTY of matches coming up that we NEED to get points from, three points is a must against Wigan anything less isn't good enough at this point I don't think.
Walker
Wigan and Stoke, I think we need 6 from these 2 games.
