'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Santa's Europe And Rovers Verdict.

Roque Santa Cruz insists Rovers will be up away from the wrong end of the table in no time and has also moved to dismiss rumours he will be going anywhere in the transfer window in January.

Santa kicked off by saying he felt Rovers had too much about them to be where we are at present and also felt we should be pushing for Europe, anyone who knows me knows I am an optimist so... go Santa!!!!

Roque, speaking to the L.E.T said - "There is too much talent to be where we are in the table. To have so many games coming up is a good thing, it is good to play games and once you get a win the confidence will start rising.

"It is very frustrating to look at the table and see we are second from bottom. I just think people need to be sure there is too much quality to be thinking about just avoiding relegation.

"Our aim is something more. The players here will do everything to get us playing for Europe because it is what we need to be doing and what we are capable of doing."

Next up Santa discussed his future with the club and insisted he was VERY HAPPY here.

'It is very natural when we are doing good, people start linking you with other teams, this is very clear with me. I am happy to play with Blackburn Rovers and any decision comes from them.

"They have the power to say yes or no. I am just trying to do my best and not focus on what anyone else is saying, I am not bothered, I am just trying to focus on football and getting more points for Blackburn Rovers.

"We have to start bringing our best to the team and see us become better as a team. I am a very happy player at the club."

So he's off to City and hates Rovers does he? Funny, certainly doesn't sound like it does it?

refreshing to hear this sort of thing. Sounds a happy camper to me.

i love the optimism, and confidence of santa, and the fact he sounds so happy is very good! now lets get sum goals and sum points hey! C'mon Rovers

This will not make any difference to the liars who continue to link our players to other clubs. Apparently Warnock and Samba are going to Newcastle now.

Roque isn't going anywhere. And Rovers have indeed the means to go higher in the table

Well this can hopefully quell some of the doom mongering from second rate journos but results aren't improving so I'm sure they will have more to spin about Rovers. Well done Santa though!

Its an absolute certainty that the press wil just ignore this...

They seemingly have. I have been waiting for the mirror's take on this bit of santa talk that doesn't need translating or doesn't talk about citeh but they have left me disappointed! Tut tut
