Ince: Important To Get Wins Under Our Belts

Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince knows the importance of Rovers' 2-1 Carling Cup win over Sunderland on Wednesday evening, a win that puts us into the Quarter Finals.

Rovers haven't been getting the results that performances have deserved recently, but the Carling Cup win at the Stadium of Light has delighted him, the squad and the fans (despite a few hair raising moments after being 2-0 up!) and Ince is now looking towards three points on Saturday.

Ince said: "We hadn't won for a few games so it is important to get a win under our belts.

"When you are 2-0 up you think the game is over and then we let one in and we have to learn from that. You can't afford to do that.

"You see how much the win meant to the lads. It was important we got back to winning ways, we have played some good football and we have deserved a bit more at times. We will enjoy it but you don't get three points and the most important thing for me is Saturday.
"

Burnley in the 1/4 finals...!? Destroy their dream at Turfmoor...

Yep - a good away win. They had a full strength team out as well, while we rested a couple. However I'm more interested in the league game - a must win for us. Also, it must be a derby draw surely! I think Spurs and arsenal will get each other again too!

Good win to wake the guys up again. Hopefully they can get themselves back on track on the league this weekend! Go Ro(que)vers
