Grella Joins The Injury Club

Well thats another one for the injury list, Vince Grella is sidelined for up to 4 weeks as the stop start nature of his Ewood career continues.

This is a shame for Vince as he has looked very good when he has been on the pitch and I still think him and Dave Dunn will be dynamite together.

Ince, speaking to L.E.T, said: "I just think it is the intensity of the Premier League. I have played in Italy and it is very very slow, it is very methodical until you get in the last third and then it is quick.

"The deal was rushed through, he played against West Ham, felt knackered. He said it himself because he had not had time to adjust to the pace of the Premier League and he has never quite got back.

"When he has played he has been different class but the demands on a footballer in the Premier League is different to the demands in Serie A.

"It is frustrating. It is frustrating for the lad because he wants to be out there. It is frustrating for us as well because he is our record signing and we want him out there.

"He is fantastic when he has been out on the pitch."

Several players who are on the fringe of the first team will be playing tonight as Rovers have no real alternative, players who would of been rested tonight may also be asked to carry on as they were.

Ince also commented, "Because we have so many injuries now it is a hard one, We will have to play players now that we were not planning on playing.

"That will be their third game in a week and it is a testing time for us at the moment.

"I am sure whatever team comes out won`t be the same sides that come out Saturday. If you get a win though psychology you get an edge for the weekend.

"It seems every time we have a game we get a different injury. You look at most teams, look at Hull, they get to put the same team on the pitch.

"Yet at Blackburn, I don`t want to cry because I am a lucky man in a great job, but it seems we are getting all the injuries and you can`t do anything about it."

Good last paragraph that Paul.

This is just getting annoying now... Grella has been very good so far this season when he has played.

When will Incey, Rovers and us get a break!!! We'll carry on battling on though. A runout for Vogel?!?!
Walker
Prob not mate!!!! lol... i can see it being a Tugay and Warnock midfield...

So young Andy Howarth gets his chance. Good and good luck to him..... I only have 3 words to say: JUDGE! JUDGE!! JUDGE!!!

It is a bit weird why all the injuries suddenly come...we have always had a very bad record with injuries - until Hughes came along! Why hasnt Ince continued the ideas from Hughes regarding keeping players fit? Hughes had a very scientific approch to avoid injuries, and it worked quite well. And those who are not cant cant a break (VOGEL!)

good luck to the young kid, how did he go? and where is de vita?

De Vita doesnt play for us anymore does he? Haworth had a solid game... well played to the young lad. I think Ince got a shock when he saw Sunderland's team sheet though!!!
