The Admiral Not Concerned

Despite the current run of form Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan Nelsen isn't concerned and doesn't fear the threat of relegation, as he doesn't believe that there will be a threat.

After picking up just two points from a possible eighteen, and without a win in six Premier League matches Rovers find themselves just two points ahead of West Bromwich Albion (who are currently bottom of the league.) However, with Rovers playing good football but without much reward the skipper isn't concerned and has no doubts that we will soon start going back up the table again, which will be helped by the return to fitness of several key players.

Nelsen told Sky Sports: "We would be more worried if we were not getting points and not playing well.

"But we are playing really well and once we get some players back who have been injured the results will come.

"We are not worried at all. A couple of wins and you are right back up the table - it is a funny league this year.
"

Over the course of 38 matches the Premier League table WON'T lie, but after a dozen or so it often can. There is little between most of the clubs in the league this season (besides the top four) and with some luck we will start to see us nearer the top half than the bottom.

Much as God says, a win or two and the table takes a whole new complexion. However, you can argue that another defeat or two and it can take another!!! Personally I feel that we will start getting the results that our performances warrant soon enough.

I have to admit that I am concerned. Not overly that we will be sucked into a relegation battle but loss of players come jan. However, everyone seems to be coming out and talking us up. We need a bit of luck in terms of players staying fit, esp after losing our player of the season to date, Emo, who never gets injured. The next two games against Sunderland are pivotal I feel.

I am not concerned at all... We have enough quality players to move up the table. If we are like this after xmas then I will be worried.,,,

I think we've played well and dropped points - we need to be a bit more ruthless
FreidelNo.1
agreed there fn1... i think we need roberts ot be improving that shots to goals ratio as well... could well be Benni and Matty this week.
Mikey D
A bit worried by the huge number of injuries though! And Inces decision not to play Vogel, eventhough that would be the OBVIOUS thing to do rigth now! I do not like his judgements
redstarman
we'll be fine... if he doesnt rate vogel then he doesn't we don't know - he could have bad attitude or have lost a yard of pace or somet...
Mikey D
That could be right Mr Mikey, obviously there is a reason for Incey not liking Vogel and for him not to be selected with injuries we have it must be something fairly bad?!?! With more luck, and less injuries we'll be fine.
Walker
The Vogel issue is certainly a mistery. However, I agree with Nelsen...the good run will start sooner or later

Nelsen is a proper leader, lets face it. He is never shy of saying what he thinks but he is calming everyone down and not hiding from the "mini slump".
