Rovers To Battle With Spurs For African Ace?!?!

Skysports.com understands that Blackburn Rovers are facing a potential battle with Tottenham Hotspur for highly-rated Congolese star Tresor Mputu.

The 22-year-old (who has previously trained with Arsenal) is set to undergoing a trial with Rovers this week once a visa is organised according to his agent Severin Bohuis (who rates him as one of the best players in Africa) but Rovers face an apparent battle with Tottenham (and others) to sign the TP Mazembe star should this trial period be successful.

Bohuis told skysports.com: "We are currently sorting out a visa for Tresor to come over to England and he should be here by Thursday.

"He is due to go and train with Blackburn once he receives his visa, but there are loads of clubs interested in him as he is one the best players in Africa.

"Tottenham are interested in him and we will see what happens at Blackburn.

Another that I know nothing about, anyone else know anything about this dude?!?!

Nope...sonds like a new Anthony Annan..."talked up" by his agent!
redstarman
good luck to the lad if he wants to make it big!
merlin
Yeah I reckon he will be more like Annan than Essien. If £4m is being thrown around let Spuds have him because if he was that good Arsenal would have snapped him up.
roversman
like Arsenal would have snapped up Modrich as well...?? Arsene didn't think he'd cut it, started to be proved wrong now though... I wouldn't just decide someone's no good based on someone else not wanting him... maybe he wasn't what they needed. I've never seen him though and you lot have got first option on him by the looks of it, so doesn't really seem like us against you on this one
Dan Mac
Charlton didnt want Nelsen but that worked out ok....

His agent will do all he can to talk him up I suppose, hence maybe why he has brought Spurs into the mix?!?!
Walker
Ah yes, Spurs, the team that is linked with everyone by the media!!!
