Ince Lashes Out At Wilkins (Not Literally!)

Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince was so incensed with a pre-match interview that Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins gave that he confronted him to tell him what he thought.

At fulltime in Rovers' 2-0 defeat at Ewood Park against Chelsea on Sunday Ince and Wilkins exchanged words, with Incey later admitting that Wilkins' pre-match comments about the match being a battle from the first whilst due to our aggressive nature (which mirrored his own as a player) angered him, and he told him as much!!!

Ince told the post match press conference: "I told Ray in no uncertain terms that the next time he wanted to say things he should get his facts right.

"I was a physical player, but you don't play for the teams I played for if you are just a physical player. To hear this garbage about me, about us trying to put them on their arses and that we're over-physical - you watched the game, we played some great football.

Clearly Incey wasn't amused, and has probably heard one too many negative comments aimed at him and the club and snapped!!!

Paul Ince makes himself look very small minded over this. And I think he has attacked the wrong person. Ray Wilkins is one of the most mild mannered people in football, and was only paying Blackburn a compliment (stating that they are competative). For Ince to take exception is pathetic and just trying to draw attention to himself (as usual).

didn't realise Ince was so frigging touchy!

So Chelsea should mirror him, the ball will travel backwards and sideways all Wilkins ever did

calm down Chelsea fans.... Wilkins was wrong to have a pop, coz he may of said competitive but it was in the middle of a lot of negative comments. The fact ray hasnt moaned back shows he was in the wrong...

The one thing about rovers under Ince is that we are playing some good stuff. It wasn't a dirty match and our players have been a lot better this season with regards to discipline. If anything Mikel's 'challenge' on Gamst said it all!

Arent we still "top" of the discipline league?!
