Reid's Surgery A Success

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid successfully underwent knee surgery in the United States of America early in the week.

The Republic of Ireland star was operated on by the world's best surgeon Dr Richard Steadman in his clinic in the USA on Wednesday and manager Paul Ince has said this has been a complete success and he has no reason to doubt there will be any complications with Reid.

Ince told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "Steven Reid had his operation on Wednesday and he's come through that alright so things are looking up.

"Reidy has gone to one of the best in the business in Dr Steadman so there is no reason why everything shouldn't be okay.
"

However, despite the successful surgery Reidy will still miss the remainder of the season but this was always going to be the case anyway.

The long road back to recovery now begins again for Reidy, good luck to the dude (I still personally think he might need it, but hope to be proved wrong.)
