Emo Out For 2-4 Weeks

There must be something in the water at Ewood Park as we have another injury vlow. Brett Emerton will miss at least the next two weeks of action for Blackburn after picking up a hamstring injury in the 2-2 draw at West Bromwich Albion.

It could be as much as four weeks depending on the severity of the pull. Rovers are now down to the bare bones with a succession of unfortunate injuries picked up over the last few weeks.

Rovers are without Steven Reid, Dave Dunn, Roque Santa Cruz and now Brett Emerton. Throw into the mix the fact that we don't have Benni McCarthy for the Chelsea match as well due to the ridiculous sending off on Saturday and we are robbed of 5 key players.

Manager Paul Ince, speaking to rovers.co.uk said - "I have lost Benni and I have lost Brett with a hamstring.

'I am not sure the situation with Roque but things are conspiring against us but we stay strong as a unit.

"It could be two or four weeks, it depends what grade it is.

"Of course, Brett will be a big miss."

This has been a blow as Brett has been immense this season and a pillar of consistency in the team.

We are going to find out our mettle on Sunday that is for sure.

Not what we needed at all. brett has been excellent this season. I hope he gets back soon. Look like a midfield of Warnock, Grella, Tugay/Andrews and Villanueva on Sunday.

bad news, really doesnt help as we need to get a settled side soon
durks de rover
is that a few swear words being whipped out?!"?!?
Mikey D
Exactly what we needed wasn't it. Emo has been the Player of the Season so far, so to see him miss out is terrible news!
Walker
no i typed some astricks in, isnt that how everyone does it?
durks de rover
Too bad Emo will be out. I like Mikey's midfield though
diegoveron
Yeah all we need is Walker in the holding role then we are sorted lol...
Mikey D
grella will be vital against Chelsea I don't think tugay is up to facing the likes of lampard cole etc unless grella and warnock can hold the line. I think this is sort of the game gamst can spark something. We won't get many chances but when we do his delivery will be vital. Roberts must play as a target man with carlos running of him or even gamst running of robbo

Been our best and most consistent player of the season, yet another blow but time for somebody to step up and prove their worth to the team.

This is getting ridiculous! Where is sergio peter these days or maybe judge who did so well pre-season!?!?
roversman
Better news on Emo though, he could even be back to face Sunderland Saturday week, Santa could return to face Chelsea and Ooijer is also back.
Walker
Lets hope so eh!
