We Want Santa and Benni!

We Want Santa and Benni!

Well, its unanimous, the members of Vital Blackburn want Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz as our first choice pair up front.

Second choice was Roque and Matt Derbyshire to lead the line.

Most interesting though was the fact that the lone striker system did not come out well. In fact it was the least wanted option.

Indicating that Rovers fans want 4-4-2 - over to you Paul.

Here are the results in full.

Thanks to Dominator for this poll by the way. Good work mate.

Santa Cruz and Matty Derbyshire 16%
Santa Cruz and Benni Mac 62%
Santa Cruz and J-Rob 9%
Santa Cruz and Robbie Fowler 4%
J-Rob and Derbyshire 3%
Lone Striker 2%
Others 4%

Next up we are asking the following -

Who do you want to regularly partner Ryan Nelsen at the back this season?

This doesnt suprise me. They would be the most feared partnership outside the top4 if we got them both on form.

Roque is top quality and although last season wasn't brilliant for him, McCarthy is as well. But still, no one wants Robbie Fowler in? :P

After what we saw on saturday, there's some hope about seeing these 2 guys together more often now...if they get heir game...then will have a hell of up front pair. By the way, The Legend of Zola: Robbie Fowler's partnerhip with Roque wasn't the least voted, it came ahead of J. Rob and Derbyshire, Lone Striker and others :P

Getting them both firing could be the problem, but it is something that will happen and probably sooner than we think.

Surely with the size, style and abilities of the players in question they should be able to play together no?
