The Australian Invasion....Watch out!!!!!

The Australian Invasion....Watch out!!!!!

Watch out, the Aussies are coming back to England. With two first teamers, and a reserve squad member, Blackburn Rovers already has a nice Aussie flavour about it. But there might be more to come...

As some of you already might know, Brett Holman was the target of a last minute raid by Paul Ince on Az Alkamaar in the Dutch Eredevesie. Terms with the player were agreed, however, the two clubs could not settle on a fee in time. Holman is a versatile attacking midfielder, preferring to play on the right flank or in behind the striker. The word is, a transfer is still on the cards for Holman, with Blackburn by far in the lead for the 24 year old

Next up is former Sydney FC CB, 23 year old Mark Milligan. Mark left his home club of Sydney in search of European football in the summer. After unsuccesful trials at Arsenal, Man City and Werder Bremen, a trial is on the cards for Milligan at Blackburn. He has been given 2 weeks to impress the gaffer before the Christmas festivities, so lets see how he shall go.

We should be seeing two more Aussies coming on board in the January transfer window, and watch out, Sasman might be back with a bit more inside information on the Aussie boys....

Whilst we are at it, why dont Australia just move there away home base, Craven Cottage, Fulham, up north to Blackburn. Im sure you guys will take them in as your second nation, maybe finally some joy!!!
