Warnock: Rovers Rift? There Is None!!!

Blackburn Rovers left-back Stephen Warnock has hit out at critics of the club that KEEP claiming that there is a rift behind the scenes at Ewood Park.

It keeps being claimed that there is unrest behind the scenes at Ewood, with Paul Ince targeted over and over in the national media. Reports of player discontent keep being brought up, yet there hasn't actually EVER been any proof of this and Rovers footballers keep denying these stories, with Warnock the latest to do so after claims that Carlos Villanueva was unhappy at Ewood.

Warnock told the Lancashire Telegraph: "If you look at Carlos every day, he looks very happy and is getting to know the lads and is a good character to have around the place.

"That is the thing isn't it? Where do these stories come from?

"I think it is just one of those things. You can't do anything about it. The national press pick what they want to write and will stick with it as long as they can - it doesn't seem to matter if it is true.

Stevie W actually insists that there IS a great spirit at the club and morale is high, the stories are just stories and complete rubbish!!!

He added: "There is a great spirit in the club and I don't know where any of the reports come from."

Well said Stevie W, maybe ONE DAY the press will actually take note of what players (like yourself) KEEP saying over and over and actually realise that there isn't this "great problem" they claim there is!!!
Walker
Acting as Devil's Advocate here. We all jump on the presses back, saying they are mis-quoting our players, etc, but when someone says there is good things going on, this all gets shot out of the window. I am sure Stevie W does believe there is nothing wrong in the Ewood camp. However, like all work places, he cannot know whats going on in other departments, and there well might be rifts somewhere else...Just something to talk about...I'm not turning into Oz...This comment is for pure discussion purpose only!

You notice in the full interview that at no point does he say he is really happy at Ewood. I do have a lot of time for his comments though and he is really developing into a leader. A future Rovers captain I think!

Decimus Poole - Fair comments dude, I hear what you're saying.
Walker
Fair enough that decimus but I think we should take this at face value. He is dispelling untrue rumours and until something concrete comes up... we are doing well and should stay positive. Hence my overly positive approach on here!!!
