Bolton Monitoring The Axe?

Media reports understand that Blackburn Rovers midfielder Aaron Mokoena is a January target for Bolton Wanderers.

The South African International started the season in the Rovers side but has since seen his place if the first-team slip away and he is now very much out of favour. The 27-year-old is out of contract in the summer, so with his contract unlikely to be renewed Paul Ince would most likely be wanting to recoup something in January and Bolton are understood to be the club most interested in Mokoena.

Moves to Stoke City and Manchester City were mooted in the summer just gone but nothing happened, however, seeing the Axe leave in the New Year wouldn't be a surprise at all. Mokoena has done a job for us, but his days are numbered and most of us had expected a departure already.

Meanwhile (and not really that relevant to us anymore, other than the fact that it is mildly amusing!!!) former Rovers midfielder David Bentley has spoken to the media, stating that he "knows people are laughing" at Tottenham Hotspur.

Bentley said: "I know people are having a laugh at the fact we are bottom of the league at the moment but it's up to everyone at the club to stop the jokes.

"We're not happy with what has been happening. You cannot hide from the situation but what we need are a team of leaders who take responsibility. We have to grow as people.

"We have more than enough good players at Tottenham to get us out of this situation and I give my word that we will.
"

Tottenham will move away from the bottom on the table (surely!) but without wanting it viewed as sour grapes (and we did appreciated what he did here at Ewood Park) every Rovers fan must be getting some pleasure from seeing his (and Spurs') current plight, which has even seen him lose his place in the England Squad, and retaining that was meant to be one of his main reasons for wanting to leave Ewood!!!

The Axe has been a good player for us but it is time for him to move on now really isn't it. Bolton, or maybe Stoke, would be ideal for him. As for Bents, sorry dude but you're right people are laughing at you and Spurs!!!

lol we laugh at spurs anyway, but id take bents back, on half his original wages as punishment

I am delighted that he has lost his place in the England squad, hope he's beginning to realise that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Read an interview in a magazine he done before the england squad was announced and he seemed to be taking it for granted that he would be in the squad. He was one of our best players and i think that made him stand out more when he was the flair player in a team full of solid players rather than now when he is not as noticeable in the spurs team. If i was an english supporter i would rather see swp or walcott in that position anyway as both are quicker and your strikers with the exception of crouch are not that tall so not much point pumping crosses into the box. Also hearing that some of the villa supporters aren't that happy with Brad for some reason

spinaker7081 - What was I saying dude, the grass isn't always greener, and he's finding that out!

del - Why aren't Villa fans happy with Bradders?!?! What I've seen of him he has been superb for them (as he ALWAYS was for us!)
Walker
