Brown Still Keeping In Touch With Brad

Brown Still Keeping In Touch With Brad

Big goalkeeper Jason Brown has revealed he got a text from a former colleague after his performances against Newcastle and Man United, the former colleague? Brad Friedel.

Brown has recently spoken of his desire to keep his number one spot in net for Rovers, but he felt his heart warm when he got a text from Ewood's legendary shot stopper. Speaking to the L.E.T, Jason said - 'Brad Friedel was here for a long time and was probably, arguably, the best goalkeeper in the Premiership of all time.

"That is a big statement but I think he is that good. Frustrating is not the word.

'But Brad hardly put a foot wrong so you have to be patient and you have to respect the opposition you have, and Brad was fantastic.

"Brad texted me straight after the game. Working with him was fantastic because he was such a great professional. You had to learn from someone like that.

"But I have played two to three games now and I am hoping my name is in the hat.

'After the international break, I hope to retain my place but only time will tell."

People will probably laugh at that 'greatest keeper of all time' comment from Jason but to be honest I agree.

We can see from this that Brad is a true gentleman as well as an awesome goalkeeper.

However, if jason is dropped for that Bolton game, he can consider himself EXTREMELY unlucky.
