It was 19 years to the day since Sir Alex Ferguson signed Paul Ince for Manchester United as the experienced Scot came up against his former midfield enforcer for the first time as a manger.

The clash at Ewood Park saw the visitors claim all 3 points despite a decision which left Ince furious.

Goalkeeper Jason Brown, standing in for Paul Robinson, was obstructed coming for a cross by Nemanja Vidic as Wes Brown rose to head home the first goal. Wayne Rooney scored the second after half time to seal the victory.

The former MK Dons boss admitted afterwards whilst the goal did not cost his team the game, the referee had a lot to answer for.

Yes it was a foul. Sometimes the work against you & others for you.

True storage matt.I think Ince is right to rage at the ref slightly but also should lay a portion of the blame at the teams door aswell.
