Roberts Was Arrested!

Roberts Was Arrested!

A bolt out of the blue this.

Blackburn striker Jason Roberts and his wife were arrested two weeks ago. They were taken in after police raided their home in connection with a furious argument that neighbours heard.

Roberts went home in the early hours of Sunday morning after losing 4- 0 to Arsenal at Ewood. A source said to the the mirror newspaper (yes I know) - 'Jason didn't play well and went out with pals to try to forget it.'

Roberts, 30, and wife Carly, 26, were said to have made so much noise arguing that the cops were called immediately. The police arrived and found the couple still rowing.

The only comment Roberts had to make were - 'It was an argument which just got out of hand'.

A serious story but probably one that got out of hand given the context it was in.

If players are getting arrested for fighting over bad performances then expect a story in a London newspaper tomorrow to report the following players have been arrested after a night out in Camden...

Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Jenas, Zokora, O'Hara, Gilberto, Pavlyuchenko, Cesar, Huddlestone, Lennon, Bent, Modric, Gunter, Giovani.

You have been warned.
