No New Signings At Rovers Till January

Blackburn chairman John Williams has declared that there will be no new faces at Ewood Park prior to January's transfer window.

Rovers have invited several players for trials in the last few weeks, with a host of speculation that Rovers would be making some free agent signings soon.

Some fans have been panicking (rather stupidly) after the 4-0 defeat to Arsenal, but John Williams remains calm.

Speaking to Sky Sports, John Williams said -'The bottom line is we aren't short on numbers in the squad and I think it's highly unlikely anyone will be coming in between now and the re-opening of the window.

'We aren't planning to bring anyone in at the moment but, of course, that could change if someone was presented to us that would really improve the team.

'We're only four games in so there's no need to panic. The goals conceded are horrible but we'll improve.

'Sometimes trialists do pay off, sometimes they don't. It's always better to try and sample before you buy.

'If you look at our purchases though, they haven't come through trials yet. So perhaps that suggests that having players on trial doesn't result in signings.'

Good words from an intelligent man. Trial signings in most cases will NOT improve the squad or the first sixteen. We have a good squad and will bounce back, just support Nelsen and the boys, don't get on their backs.

The message is clear, we wont make signings unless they are of the right quality.

FREE agents aren't always no good, but more often than not they're unattached for a reason aren't they. We DO have a really good squad, so until January we will be fine (maybe even after that!!!) There is no harm in looking at players, but few few agents will improve our squad let alone the starting XI will they. Happy as ever I see oz!!!

Vogel turned out alright but he is merely a squad player this season by the looks of things.

Yes not too many top notch players with no clubs at all by now, unless Ronaldo is interested

I think he's more likely to be either in KFC or hankering for a move to madrid, depending on which one you mean!

Yep totally agree guys, there's no point in signing anyone who is not going to improve our team.....suck it an see Incey, i think we've got the quality to be fine though a top 10 finish may be a bridge too far....i am liking the attacking style and would rather lose 4-0 and create lots of chances than lose 1-0 and the game be a load of dross......keep attacking Incey, we've got nothing to lose!!!

I now hear that Turkish guy has left his club, sorry guys his name escapes me but he is now free for a trial with us. Could this be an exception... a trialist who is well worth it!!!
