Fowler Completes His Short-Term Rovers Move

Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Robbie Fowler, with his short-term deal finally finalised.

The 33-year-old former Liverpool, Leeds United, Manchester City, Cardiff City and England International striker has signed a three-month contract and goes straight into our squad for the Premier League match with Arsenal on Saturday afternoon. This has dragged on a fair bit so it's good to get it done, with Paul Ince more than happy to see this deal finalised, and he isn't ruling out extending this beyond the initial three-months.

Ince told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "Robbie has signed his contract. It has been an ongoing situation for the last two or three months now.

"But I'm pleased that he has signed, he's a proven goalscorer. It was not long ago that he was banging in goals at Anfield, so it shows that he can still do it at this level.

"It is a three-month contract and if he does well and does the business then there is no reason why we can't extend that.
"

I'm glad this is finally sorted out. We have NOTHING to lose here and everything to gain, if Fowler isn't up to it he won't play, if he doesn't play he doesn't get paid!!!

I hope that if he does play then he plays well and we all give him a chance. I can hear Oz now... something about Ince and him picking his friends...

He has got a fantastic record of scoring against Arsenal. Could be worth 15 minutes tomorrow
