Santa Cruz To Be The Rovers Star This Season?

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll, suggested by Lets Do The Samba asked "Who will be the star of the season?" Roque Santa Cruz is the man for us.

The Paraguayan International came in from Bayern Munich last summer and had a superb influence on our 2007-2008 season, even more of an influence than we could've even dreamt. This impact saw Santa Cruz, not only score twenty plus goal but be so influential on our season that he was voted as the Player of the Season and with 29% most of us here on Vital Blackburn believe that the striker will be our star player again this term. Local boy David Dunn would be the next in line with 17%

Most of the other names were much the same as each other; however, Paul Robinson (10%), Jason Roberts (8%) and Morten Gamst Pedersen (7%) did stand out slightly from the rest.

So in summary
Robinson - 10%
Samba - 6%
Nelsen - 5%
Warnock - 2%
Emerton - 4%
Dunn - 17%
Pedersen - 7%
Santa Cruz - 29%
McCarthy - 2%
Vogel - 1%
Tugay - 2%
Ooijer - 2%
Roberts - 8%
Rigters :P - 5%

The current poll, suggested by kendog is asking, "Carlos Villanueva? Hit or Miss!"

Santa is a safe bet, but from the early weeks of the season JR might just be more influential than most might have thought?!?!
Walker
Jr would be interesting, i think if villanueva gets his chance then he might become a cult hero
sasman
can we buy him in January?
merlin
I'm with Walker .. Jason Roberts is gonna prove a think or to to a certain Mr Santa Cruz this year..
Chix
Jason Roberts and Cruz the reason for us staying in a respectable position this year, well that my prediction.

I hope Roque Santa Cruz quickly finds his goal scoring touch - a couple of hat tricks would do nicely - as I have him in my Fantasy Football team!
