Blackburn Rovers defender Ryan Nelsen has said that Rovers' 3-2 win over Everton last Saturday was for manager Paul Ince.
The skipper has said that after all the unfair criticism that Ince has had to endure, along with all the speculation that it was the least that he deserved and has given Incey his full backing, rubbishing the reports of discontent at Ewood.
Nelsen told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I'm so happy for the boss because he got some criticism that was so out of line
"He didn't deserve it because he's been fantastic.
"The first one is for him - all the lads are buzzing for him.
"We had a lot of doubters and a lot of people saying not-so-nice stuff about us during the whole of pre-season.
"But we know that what has been written is so untrue."
The New Zealand International hopes that this win can shut up a few people who were writing Incey and Rovers off before a ball was even kicked, and he looks forward to Rovers ONCE AGAIN proving the doubters wrong.
God added: "I hope this has proved a lot of people wrong, and that we are trying to contend right up there.
"Every year that I've been here, people have said that Blackburn are just a mid-table team and every year we prove them wrong.
"Hopefully we can do that again."
