Rovers Get Grimsby At Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers' bid for Carling Cup glory will this season begin in the Second Round , (in recent years due to UEFA Cup football we've come in in Round Three) with Grimsby Town the opponents.

Paul Ince will be hoping that Rovers can avoid an upset against Grimsby, but the League Two side will be out to cause one at Ewood Park in a tie that takes place in the week commencing 25th of August.

As they say a real banana skin, but we SHOULD win this shouldn't we?!?!

We should, but then again, perfect game for us to stuff up with....

Traditionally we have come a cropper in games like this. Show Grimsby the respect they derserve and we will go through.

I think this is a great draw for us...in recent years we've had tough away draws so this should be a potential confidence booster - I'd swap a top half finish all day for the league cup!!!!

A Carling Cup win WOULD mean a place in Europe, but players also look at your League finish when deciding if they want to join you (or leave you!!!) don't they so we MUST finish in the top 10 this season at least

Hopefully an easy passage against the codheads, I hope you stick loads past them, especially as we have them in the league 3 days later.
