Warnock: I Haven't Handed In Transfer Request

Stephen Warnock has laughed off reports that he is about to leave Rovers and flat out denied handing in any sort of transfer request - leading to the following question...

Where do the media get off on unsettling our club.

Earlier reports had been LYING saying that Warnock wanted to leave Rovers to get away from the 'mutiny' at Ewood. What a load of rubbish.

However, nothing could be further from the truth as Warnock told rovers.co.uk:'The reports are rubbish, I have not handed in a transfer request.'

Warnock committed his future to Rovers at the end of the last campaign when he signed a new four-year contract, when Mark Hughes was still manager. However, when Paul Ince was appointed the new manager after Hughes left for some Thai corruption Warnock was one of the first to say he was happy with life at Rovers.

He has attracted interest over the summer, with Newcastle United believed to have had a ridiculous £2million offer rejected.

It is very rarely you see me angry but this has hit a raw nerve to go with the rest of the utter nonsense we have had to put up with over the summer - I have a message to the doubters and the sources who make this stuff up...

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE LIES AND UNSETTLING, INFLAMATORY RUBBISH YOU WRITE ABOUT OUR PROUD CLUB AND OUR PLAYERS TRYING TO CREATE A SINKING SHIP OUT OF NOTHING BUT ARROGANCE ON YOUR PART.

WE MAY BE AN EASY TARGET DUE TO CLUB SIZE AND THE LACK OF FINANCES AVAILABLE BUT THE SEASON IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER AND WE ARE READY TO GO AGAIN, LOOK AT OUR STRONGEST TEAM -

ROBINSON
SIMPSON
NELSEN
SAMBA
WARNOCK
EMERTON
REID
DUNN
GAMST
SANTA CRUZ
MCCARTHY...

PAUL INCE'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!

Sorry for the rant guys. and sorry for the capitals but I am fed up to my back teeth of the lies and the stoires made up in the papers. What did we do to deserve it?!

Spot on Mr Mikey, you beat me to this one as all day at work I've been boiling over thinking about this and how much the national media are a bunch of ****s!!!

u think u got it bad? our players are CONSTANTLY SPECULATED ALL YEAR ROUND. its a joke.

...obviously the media will quickly print a retraction and apologise for the upset they have caused to Stephen, the club, our manager and of course us fans - because the media are a good bunch... oh yeah, souless cretins... yep, we might be waiting a while for that apology... again!

I wouldn't take it too personally boys!!!! we all get *****ed off with it but the vultures were bound to come circling sooner than later....we've got a great squad of players now....in my opinion much more balanced in positions, technique and phy prowess than most in that league and people want a piece of it!!!! I would not blame the media totally as i i do think that clubs do throw in "Annonymous tips" and various other quotes to indirectly unsettle players that they want......agents also have a lot to answer for as well as the players who could end rumours anytime that they want to!!!!
