'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackburn gossip etc....

Okay the papers say that there is unrest in the blackburn camp at the moment and it is believed to be Benni McCarthy saying it all, and in the papers today Benni McCarthy claims that he is on the verge of a move to Galatasaray, could Benni be causing a rift to get a move away from Ewood and play either European football or champions league again, not to sure.

Personally my view is that if Benni is causing upset, he should be sold as blackburn could really be doing with out this at the moment, everyone tied with the club should be all pulling together and getting behind the new manager Paul Ince as it could be a bumpy season ahead.

On the bright side there are claims that Rovers are on the verge of completing a deal to lure Anthony Annan to the club, this would be a huge deal for Blackburn and could cause a big upset in beating the likes of Chelsea, City AC Milan and Atletico Madrid for the so called new Michael Essien.

My view of Blackburn this season will be that we might find it hard to find out feet for the first few weeks but eventually we will become a force to reckoned with, I like the players that the gaffer has collected so far in Robinson, Villanueva and Danny Simpson.

There is still a spot on the right wing available, this could be taken by either Villanueva Reid or Emerton, but I would like to see Ince make a move for Freddie Ljungberg who was released form West Ham a few hours ago, or Aaron Lennon who we are apparently linked with an £8 million pound move in the mirror!

Who would you like to see on the right wing next season and maybe we could run a poll on who would be favourite??

Ta for your time, kenty.

Good article kendog. The newspapers are making things out to be a lot worse than they are, which is unnecessary. If Benni wants to go then we need to get rid of him. Ljungberg on a FREE transfer wouldn't be bad would he and I do like Aaron Lennon.

Ljungberg is just always injured and would want high wages.. i think reid and emerton could do the job on the right wing, as long as Simpson is good enough to be a starter.

Kendog, a great article. Ljungberg isn't the answer, he's well passed his best and is NEVER fit. I think we would be better to give Emo and Reidy a chance. Especially if Ince is gonna play Villanueva in a free role. We'll need the reinforcement and the cover for him. I'd concentrate on the midfield and i am more than happy with Annan. If Mcarthy is engineering a move then let him go....it pains me to say that but there's no point in us wasting time and money on him if he doesn't wanna be with us!!

Let McCarthy go, he did nothing much for us last season. I like the idea of Lennon simply cos' he's quick. Nice article

Great article buddy, 7 mill for benni mac is reported, great deal id sell, annan is looking good

Sell him, he's got nothing left to offer, he'll just go through the motions like he did last season. £7million is generous!

Not Ljungberg... he is crocked all the time and would break our wage structure. I agree Lennon is good but he has already said he doesnt want to go. If Benni is the guy causing a rift then get rid....

With Benni being priced at £7m i would def think about selling him - abroad - he had a bad season when Santa Cruz came in and stole his crown at Rovers! He is still a cgood player who is more than capable in re-creating his form of 2 seasons ago BUT if wants to head on, then let him. We def need cover in midfield, so with Annan being linked along with the 2 aussies and that frenchman Sable then we should be ok At least we are being realistic with our targets
