The Traitorous Rovers Dogs!!!

The Traitorous Rovers Dogs!!!

Several of the Blackburn Rovers squad are mutinous, traitorous dogs!!! That is what they are if you believe newspaper reports this Tuesday!!!

These newspaper reports understand that Rovers manager Paul Ince has lost control, along with the backing of several of the Rovers stars (with Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz among those who had their photographs shown) who are unhappy with his training methods and the way he is looking to impose himself on the club. This report claimed that prior to his departure David Bentley left the training ground in disgust after Ince ordered him to do twenty press-ups as punishment when he was caught with his arms fouled. These reports all come from someone who is described as a "senior but unnamed player".

This mystery player told the Daily Mail: "Some players have been less than enthusiastic about Ince's approach to training, which is said to vary drastically from Hughes' meticulous, scientific method, while others have complained that the former Manchester United midfielder is too egotistical.

"We've gone from a well-organised, well-drilled back-room staff to one that feels like it's been patched together. A lot of us wanted to give him a chance to see how it worked out, but it's not looking too good

Personally I don't believe much of what the newspapers print as they always seem to have it in for Rovers (as does most of this nations media outlets) so we've learned to just ignore the claims really as having no basis, at least I HOPE these claims have no basis!!!

Bents probably deserved AT LEAST twenty press-ups for the way he's conducted himself in recent months. Don't believe all you read though dudes, maybe Incey has his own style, but this WILL be different from Sparky's, which not all the players will like. Even if there is any truth in this, then this “senior player” could well be a player that doesn't look like getting much football with the club this season so could be stirring it up?!?!

i doubt this is true, footballers should be professional enuff to understand that different managers employ different backroom staff, so this would mean different training, Yes Hughes style worked and im sure there are aspects that will still be used but Ince has by all accounts some of the best men in the country behind him and if the mystery player cannot see this then maybe he should just come out and say so, so he can be shipped out!! I do just think this may be reporters with least say tendancies towards other premier league clubs, maybe one with an interest in one of Rovers players, or they thought the headlines were poor this morning, either way i dont think its much to worry about

Usually when a senior player moans like this it is someone who is out of the team. If this is even true it's prob a slack journalist looking for something sensationalist, clinging onto a whimsical story. Although you can believe it as ince is a cocky bugger!!!

make them walk the plank - that'll sort them out!

to make changes to a loosing team..NOT A WINNING ONE..INCE ''ROQUE AND MCARTHY''are world class players who you will need if you want to stay up..

totaly agree merlin! oztheman ur always so negative, the reports are probly not even true
05/08/2008 22:24:00
Why would a journalist ever let the truth get in the way of a good story?
06/08/2008 07:20:00
I can assure all of you above who are doubting whether these stories are true or not, that they are true and there are many more events that have happened over the course of the pre-season that has led to this unrest. This is only really the tip of the iceberg.

I read all the above and agree with a lot BUT where are the denials from the players? Which ones have come out in support of Ince? Dunn probably will as he has been awarded with Vice Captaincy. Is it right for such a selfish player, who is not an automatic choice on the team sheet, to be Vice Captain?
06/08/2008 10:32:00
Well don't know what to say about this, is it the norm, and the papers are just screwing us over, or is it true. PAtched together well is a whole new backroom, so will take a while to gel.
