Rovers Complete Villanueva Loan Signing

Blackburn Rovers have successfully completed the loan signing of Carlos Villanueva.

As expected the club have officially confirmed the year-long loan deal from Audax Italiano, which WILL become a permanent move at an already agreed price if the Chilean International impresses this season. Villanueva was Chile's Player of the Year last year and averages a goal every other game, which for a midfielder is a superb return. Now Paul Ince is looking for him to shine at Ewood Park this season, and he believes that he will.

Ince told the Official website: "It is and exciting signing, everyone is talking about him.

"He's a talented kid, he's a skilful player, I'm sure he'll excite the fans.

"Getting him here excites me and shows the kind of football I'm looking to play at Blackburn.

"We'll see how it goes, it is always hard when you come to a new country, I went to Italy and it took me a few months to settle down, so I don't want too much expectation on the lad, it will take him time to settle in, but we believe we have a decent player
."

I'm looking forward to seeing him play this season, could he become our new David Bentley (who is driving me mad with all his comments since leaving for his "boyhood idols" Spurs!!!)

Good luck Carlos.....tho i'm not sure where ur gona play in a 442???? Or are we gnna play a 451???
mani13963
guys why is he being labelled as the man to take over bentley....He plays central attacking mid, and even on the left flank, the guy is left footed!!!! someone please listen lol
sasman
yeah its starting to get on my nerves too all this bentley replacement talk. hes left footed!!!
RyanRover9495
Yeah there is that natural assumption in the media that he is our Bents replacement. I just hope he is something of a revelation. Done well on a business sense but we'll wait and see how he fits in on the pitch and whether this will mean rovers play a different formation.
roversman
this guy looks a hell of a player, but has not even been spotted anywere in the club apparently no1 knows hu he is lol and tht came from keith treacy who was in chorley last nyt after the wolves game!
kendog
Carlos will be used as a second striker i think or on the let, with Pederson being naturally rite footed he could switch flanks, i agree with everyine getting annoyed about Bentley, sure his idols were Utd, they didnt bid for him, then he was a Liverpool fan and they couldnt come up with a way to try and rip a smaller club off or find a clause in a contract, now suddenly his 1st shirt had Gazza on it lol - i smell a bit of Lucas about this all lol
Clint
dont u mean judas clint!!!!
sasman
forget bentley If this guy was any good he would have a price tag on his head..chile are lower than scotland and iran in world fifa rankings..here just to keep us excited even K.Davis is classed is SUPER on you tube INCE
oztheman
Villanueva sure is good..but I don't know if he is Superb
