Villanueva Eager To Get His Rovers Career Going

Blackburn Rovers should complete the loan signing of Carlos Villanueva anytime now, maybe even sometime on Friday.

Terms have been agreed with the 22-year-old and an agreement struck with his club Audax Italiano to see him join Rovers on a season-long loan deal (with the view to a permanent signing if he is successful), which will be completed as soon as a work permit is obtained. Villanueva can't wait to join Rovers and is eager to get his Ewood Park career underway.

Villanueva told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I am very happy because I am going to be playing competitive football.

"I'm very keen to get things right and I hope to play as much as possible, as I intend on staying in England for a long time.

"I know that I will have to work hard, and I am not travelling thinking that I will immediately hold a position, but I hope I can win a place
."

The Chilean International's agent, Cristian Ogalde is confident that Villanueva (a massive hit on YouTube!!!) can make an impression on the Premier League.

Ogalde told La Tercera: "Carlos is happy and calm, he is just anxious to start working with his new team-mates.

"We have presented all the documents that they need by English law and in a few days he will have the permission to play in the Premier League.
"

This will hopefully soften the blow of losing Bents, as from what I have seen and heard Villanueva looks a superb talent!!!
Walker
He is extremely talented, hopefully he can adapt to the english game
sasman
My only worry is he might be a bit week, for the english game, won't have the strength to hold off, and won't challenge in the air.
roverjoy
guys, we have all said him as a right winger....the guy is left footed lol, he plays as a centre attacking mid, left half, or up front, whos the stooge that said right mid
sasman
We wait & see but he some shoes to fill.
storagematt
Anyone who thinks he is a bit weak, i have a few names for you..... Juninho, Georgi Kinkladze, Diego Maradona. Shall I go on? The guy LOOKS class, its how well and quickly he adapts to the Premiership but he has all the tools to be a star for Rovers. Hey sas, have you been spamming football sites??? I saw an article yesterday saying we are after Bresciano AND Grella!!!!! First thing i thought was that the SAS has been here LOL
BomBom
CHEAP AND NASTY SECOND DIVISION PLAYER ON FREE..AGAIN
oztheman
If he was that good do you think he would not have a price tag on his head?do you think there are no good Itlaian teams who are in search for CLASS young talent? good for which team?youtube has players like SUPER KEVIN DAVIS..lol
oztheman
oztheman needs to take a chill pill... the way pineapple plays is reminiscent to a once young lad called ryan giggs! got great pace and balance, lets jus hope he settles quickly!!
whitey_82003
and who was the other second division player on a free?
RyanRover9495
oztheman - Dude WHAT are you talking about?!?!
Walker
Don't think any of us have a clue how Villenueva will fare. Wouldn't be too reliant on youtube cos it doesn't show the full picture. I'm sure most prem footballers would look like world beaters in certain situations. We'll just have to wait and see but the best thing is that he has been signed on loan with an option to buy which keeps the pressure off him and Ince if things dont work out. I am also glad that we tend to look at players before we buy them because we cant afford to spend money on crap players!! Oztheman is a complete tit!!! He would be better named "ozthehalfwit". PS OZ YOU ARE ALLOWED TO TAKE CAPS LOCK OFF YOU NUGGET!!!!
mani13963
Oz talks more garbling cods**t than a london pub full of Spuds fans!!! I think he (Vill) will take some time settling but if we can perhaps protect his a game a little so he can flourish then happy days.
roversman
Yep, gotta say that i hope he doesn't play Villanueva as part of a two in midfield...iv heard the rumours bout him wanting a holding player n if this is the case then i think a 451 would be better. This would protect Vill and our defence.............worried bout the Wolves result but what does he expect when he plays the Axe at centre half!!!
mani13963
just hope he settles faster than the dutch kid we have ..
oztheman
MANI PLEASE KEEP YOUR SELF OPINIANATED BRAINLESS IGNORANT AROGANT VIEW ABOUT ME OR OTHERS TO YOUR SAD SELF..WE (ROVERS)HAVE RECIEVED IN EXCESS OF 45MILLION POUNDS OTHER TEAMS BUY PLAYERS LIKE WE DID WHEN WE WON THE LEAGUE BUT YOU MUST HAVE STILL BEEN IN YOUR DADS TESTICULAR ZONE BUY A BRAIN..THOSE WHO WIN BUY!!!!!!!!!
oztheman
Oz, if ur actually reading any of these articles and/or blogs you would see from everyones reactions to ur comments that you are the "self opinionated, brainless, ignorant, arrogant" one!! 99.9% of the Blogs that you add are either completely incoherant or garbage!!! If you want to make a point then make a relevant one with a little bit knowledge behind what you are saying man....we would all like Rovers to spend more money but we obviously don't have any!!! We are and have been almost completely self sufficient for years now and yet we remain debt free, regardless of the fact that our average gate is next to nothing and our merchandising sales are even less. This is because we are astute in the transfer market and have not paid over the odds for a player in years. If you want to support a club that spends inordinate amounts of money, regardless of the consequences then why didn't you support Leeds??? we all know what happended to then because of the idiots that have ran them. Rovers have quietly established themselves in this league buying the right players for the right money and long may this continue!!! On a personal note, i'm glad to see that your vocabulary extends further than "****" and "LOL". I was at Anfield when we won the League but times have changed....and so must you!!!!!!!! PS Honestly, you can take Caps Lock off when you type on the computer, it's not hard!!!! ha ha

shud be a gd signing :)
