Villanueva Eager To Get His Rovers Career Going

Villanueva Eager To Get His Rovers Career Going

Blackburn Rovers should complete the loan signing of Carlos Villanueva anytime now, maybe even sometime on Friday.

Terms have been agreed with the 22-year-old and an agreement struck with his club Audax Italiano to see him join Rovers on a season-long loan deal (with the view to a permanent signing if he is successful), which will be completed as soon as a work permit is obtained. Villanueva can't wait to join Rovers and is eager to get his Ewood Park career underway.

Villanueva told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I am very happy because I am going to be playing competitive football.

"I'm very keen to get things right and I hope to play as much as possible, as I intend on staying in England for a long time.

"I know that I will have to work hard, and I am not travelling thinking that I will immediately hold a position, but I hope I can win a place
."

The Chilean International's agent, Cristian Ogalde is confident that Villanueva (a massive hit on YouTube!!!) can make an impression on the Premier League.

Ogalde told La Tercera: "Carlos is happy and calm, he is just anxious to start working with his new team-mates.

"We have presented all the documents that they need by English law and in a few days he will have the permission to play in the Premier League.
"

This will hopefully soften the blow of losing Bents, as from what I have seen and heard Villanueva looks a superb talent!!!

My only worry is he might be a bit week, for the english game, won't have the strength to hold off, and won't challenge in the air.

Anyone who thinks he is a bit weak, i have a few names for you..... Juninho, Georgi Kinkladze, Diego Maradona. Shall I go on? The guy LOOKS class, its how well and quickly he adapts to the Premiership but he has all the tools to be a star for Rovers. Hey sas, have you been spamming football sites??? I saw an article yesterday saying we are after Bresciano AND Grella!!!!! First thing i thought was that the SAS has been here LOL
