Ince Adds To His Backroom Staff

Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince has further added to his backroom staff at Ewood Park with the appointment of Barry Whitbread as Chief Scout.

Whitbread isn't a person that I know a great deal about really, I've managed to find out that he used to play for Runcorn in the 1970's and managed Singapore for two-years in the mid to late 1990's, guiding them to the 1998 Tiger Cup, which in the process meant he was the first manager in their International history to win them anything. There could be some Liverpool connections perhaps between Ince and Whitbread as Barry's son Zak previously played for Liverpool before signing for Millwall.

Barry Whitbread takes over from Mike Rigg who joined Mark Hughes at Manchester City.

Good luck to Barry, but he does have a VERY hard job to follow as the scouting network under Sparky unearthed some superb talent.

Winterburn is our new defensive coach, Williams also said we are almost there now with the back room team, but what other positions could we possible need. Here's hoping it a new academy director. Get ready to start singing 1-0 to the Rovers

There are rumblings that all is not well between the players and Mr Ince. Any truth in the speculation?
