Ince Fed Up With ALL The Bentley Talk!!!

Ince Fed Up With ALL The Bentley Talk!!!

Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince has said that he is fed up with all the rumours constantly circulating about David Bentley!!!

And he isn't the only one is he!!!

Ince told the Lancashire Telegraph: "There has been interest in David and why shouldn't there be, because he's a fantastic player.

"But I made my position clear to David when I spoke to him last week.

"He came back for training on Monday and was smiling, and his attitude has been excellent ever since.

"Obviously, it looks as though we are going to have to deal with lots of speculation, because you can't pick up a paper at the moment without seeing David linked with one club or another.

"But I can deal with that, the chairman can deal with that, and, by the looks of things, David Bentley can deal with that too.

"To be honest, I'm already fed up talking about it because David is only one player in our squad
."

As Incey says this WON'T stop the rumours, which carry on day after day (as they are today!) but so long as Bentley remains happy(ish) then as many of us keep saying with Rovers in the driving seat (due to the years left on his contract) as unless what we view as an acceptable amount is offered he will stay, and from the sounds of it continue to give his all for Rovers. Maybe Bents could say something on the Official Blackburn Rovers Website, to put all that has previously been said into context, as what he has said so far hasn't really done him any favours.

Meanwhile reports in the newspapers today say that Incey is lining up his first Rovers transfer, something we keep hearing actually but so far none have come off!!!

Ecuador International midfielder Segundo Castillo, who plays for Red Star Belgrade is understood (according to these newspaper reports) to be a £6 million target with Incey eager to tie up a deal??? There is also more talk of a move for Fulham's Northern Ireland International midfielder Steven Davis.

Incey has said ALL the right things about Bents, and hopefully what he has said is all true, if so then it will also take some of the pressure off Bents as should he still be at Ewood when the season kick off some might get on his back if it isn't known otherwise. Like I mentioned above, the main problem is Bents has a habit of talking too much, maybe if he said something that the club ran on the Official Website, it could defuse things even more?!?!

I feel sorry for you guys, I'm a Villa fan and obviously I can relate to the Bentley scenario because of Barry. I like Rovers your a good side and hopefully you will do well under Ince but I think it could be a difficult season after losing Hughes. As we are continually linked with Bentley I would like to see him playing in claret and blue but as long as he doesnt go to liverpool I will be made up.

Steve Davis is a qualiry player if we keep all our players n sign a few midfielders n maybe McFadden we will easily be in the top half of the table next year. n if we get that right-back bradley we should be coverd at the back strong defence if hes as good as ppl make out.. a strong midfield if we get davis n another centre mid and a qualiter front line if we get mcfadden alongside roque!!

isnt bradley a midfielder marshinrover? he might be able to play at right back, but pretty sure hes known for being a goalscoring midfielder! or did you mean bradley orr?! ive heard weve been linked with both players! think the next few weeks could start to get fairly busy!!

He must mean Orr, whitey. I'm certain we'll stand our ground now over Bentley (don't think the club has any choice now!). Castillo is apparanly out of contract at Belgrade but some sort of 3rd party ownership is invovled, but he's coming over with a view for a medical???

Yh ment orr lol.. we need a new right back tho i think to give us more cover and a more solid back line, yes emerton has had another great season but in the premier league we need a solid backline.

I can obviously sympathize with your situation. I'm sure you'll pick up a fat tidy sum for Bentley, just as we will for Barry. Although I think Bentley has handled the situation a million times better than Barry. If a move didn't materialize for Bentley, I think playing for Rovers and still giving his all would still be an option, unlike Barry. Steven Davis would be an excellent player for you, I was gutted to see him leave Villa. Good luck anyway, I hope it works out well for Rovers.

Ince won't take any *****, thats for sure. And as for bentley, as a couple of other Villa lads have already said, I sympathize completely... but saying that, I would love to see him at the Villa before the start of next season.
