Most Improved Player Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: BRETT EMERTON.

When asked to simply leave the name of your Most Improved Player of the Season most felt Brett Emerton should be the Award Winner, so congratulations to Emerton on winning this Award.

Emerton and David Bentley battled it out for this accolade but it was the Australian International that just won it in the end thanks to (yeah you guessed it lol!) sasman's vote at the last.

Not everyone is convinced by Emerton's abilities as a right-back, but he is growing into this role the more he plays it and his overall performances from last season, and his incredible stamina (which allows him to run and run all day long) were the defining factors in him winning this Award.

To see what people had to say on this category click here.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the GOAL OF THE SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

Congratulations to Emerton, and although I do don't want to take anything away from him do we still need a recognised right-back this summer? Personally, despite Emerton getting this accolade I believe so.

Considering Emerton was asked to play in a number of positions, as well as right back which he did well - I think he deserves this nod. Well done Brett

good lad is an understatement, he is our most versatile player, he has been at the club for enough years to have the respect of all our fans. A true club man, willing to play where ever is needed, need i say more?
